Ladder rules

Eligibility

  • Maintain one TopMid account and compete under it. Account sharing, impersonation, and unapproved stand-ins are not allowed.

Challenges

  • Issue challenges through the TopMid ladder plugin. Climb equal-or-higher ratings within the ±100 Elo band, subject to open-challenge, roster, and pair checks.
  • Max 5 eligible challenges per calendar day. Same pair: at most 2 challenge or match events per rolling 7 days, and not within 72h of the last challenge or locked match.
  • 72h to accept, decline, or arrange — or the challenge expires. Propose days/times; the opponent picks one to lock.

Report

  • Report on the match page with a Halo Tracker match URL (not a profile URL). TopMid does not scrape Tracker pages.
  • Dual captain reports lock Elo. One URL with no dispute auto-accepts after 24h; unverifiable → 24h admin then void (no Elo).

Disputes

  • Open a dispute from the match page with a clear reason and evidence. Authorized officials review and may dismiss, void, or award the match.
  • An official on either active roster must recuse. Confirmed results rebuild through the plugin — no manual Elo typing.

Conduct

  • No cheating, unauthorized software, collusion, result fraud, harassment, hate speech, threats, or deliberate disruption.
  • Do not falsify a roster, Halo Tracker identity, match URL, screenshot, or report. Sanctions: warning → forfeit → suspend (or remove from the ladder).

No-show

  • No-show after the scheduled time can be forfeited by the present captain (Elo applies). ~1h match reminder.

This ladder

  • Doubles roster cap 4 (2 mains + 2 subs). Max 2 multi-ladder teams per player.
  • No Arena Bo5 pick/ban handbook and no Fours 4-player Xbox (xbl) bind gate on this ladder.
